The 33rd World Veterinary Congress brought together veterinary professionals from across the globe to advance the field of animal health and welfare. Participants gathered in Incheon to engage with colleagues from diverse backgrounds, sharing knowledge that spans companion animal medicine, livestock production, public health, and wildlife conservation. The congress served as a vital platform for international collaboration, reinforcing the importance of veterinary science in addressing both local and global challenges. Attendees represented a wide range of specialties, including internal medicine, surgery, dermatology, ophthalmology, and dentistry, reflecting the breadth of expertise within the veterinary profession.
The scientific program at the congress offered a comprehensive overview of current developments in veterinary medicine and education. Sessions covered topics such as infectious disease control, anesthesia and emergency care, diagnostic imaging, and clinical nutrition. Specialized forums focused on avian and porcine health, equine medicine, and bovine practice, while joint meetings addressed emerging concerns like foot and mouth disease and influenza. The program was designed to support continuing education for veterinarians, researchers, and students, fostering an environment where the latest research and clinical techniques could be discussed and disseminated across borders.
The registration process was structured to ensure that all participants could access the full range of congress offerings, including the exhibition hall and social events. Membership registration was required for all attendees, providing entry to the scientific sessions and opportunities for professional networking. The congress attracted a truly international audience, with participants from numerous countries across Asia, Europe, the Americas, Africa, and Oceania. This global representation underscored the congress's role as a premier event for the veterinary community, where lasting professional relationships were formed and the foundation for future collaborative efforts was strengthened.
