Gyeongju was the capital of the ancient kingdom of Silla (57 BC – 935 AD) which ruled about two-thirds of the Korean Peninsula between the 7th and 9th centuries. A vast number of archaeological sites and cultural properties from this period remain in the city. Gyeongju is often referred to as "the museum without walls". Among such historical treasures, Seokguram grotto, Bulguksa temple, Gyeongju Historic Areas are designated as World Heritage Sites by UNESCO.

Busan is South Korea's second-largest city after Seoul, with a population of approximately 3.6 million. The city is located on the southeastern-most tip of the Korean peninsula. Located within South Korea's largest industrial area, "The Southeast Economic Zone", the city is the cultural, educational and economic center of the region. It is the largest port city in South Korea and the world's fifth busiest seaport by cargo tonnage. Busan has mountains, a river and the sea beautifully making up the city and a mild climate.

Jejudo (also known as Jeju Island) is the largest island off the coast of the Korean Peninsula.

The island containing the natural World Heritage Site, Jeju Volcanic Island and Lava Tubes, is one of the most beloved tourist attraction among Koreans and visitors from abroad and the entire island is designated as a special tourist zone.
